Drink plenty of water
This helps prevent dehydration, which can lead to memory problems and confusion. During hot weather and exercise, drink more water, rehydration drinks, or other fluids. Limit intake of caffeinated drinks such as coffee and soda.
Get enough sunlight
Sunlight is a superior regulator of the nervous system, also providing the body the vitamin D it needs. Sunbathe for about 10 to 15 minutes a day, preferably in the morning or late afternoon.
Experience the outdoors
Walking barefoot can balance the nervous system and help eliminate electromagnetic radiation absorbed in the body from regular contact with electronic devices. One also feels good from being in touch with nature and its awesome gifts.
Eat smart
Consume a balanced diet with sufficient sources of vitamins B6, B12, and folate to help protect the nervous system. Add lots of fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains to your diet.
Harness positive emotions
Develop a positive attitude about your abilities and life in general. Never surrender to the idea that neurological functioning declines as one ages.
